Since 1985, Alix B. Landman has practiced nutrition as an accredited registered and licensed dietitian specializing in comprehensive nutrition programs for Weight Control, Gastrointestinal and Inflammatory Diseases, Gastric Bypass Surgeries, Hypertension, Cholesterol Reduction, Diabetes Management, Sports Nutrition, Vegetarian Nutrition, Eating Disorders, and Cancer Prevention.
In 2000, Ms. Landman founded Landman & Associates, Inc., a group of Dietitian professionals providing diversified bi-lingual nutrition and dietetic services to help support a growing base of patients referred by doctors, insurance companies, and research facilities. Some of Ms. Landman’s active accounts are: EliteResearch, Comprehensive NeuroScience, Cerebral Palsey Residential Homes, Friends of Children, and Chrysalis Center. Ms. Landman’s TV appearances include CNN, NBC, WLRN, PBS, and Nova SouthEastern; Radio appearances include WOR radio in NY, and WLRN, Hot 105, and Joy 107 in Miami. She has been featured in Newsweek, Self Magazine, The Miami Herald, New Woman, GQ, Mademoiselle, Harpers Bazaar, Redbook, Shape, Vanity Fair, The New York Times, The Sun-Sentinel, The South Florida Business Journal and Miami Metro.
Ms. Landman has authored the Vegetarian section of the Florida Dietetic Association Diet Manual, 1995, and is co-author of The Saturnia Collection Cookbook, 1991. Ms. Landman was on the board of the Miami Dietetic Association in 1992, and is the president of the Broward County Dietetic Association 06-07 season.
Ms. Landman received her undergraduate degree in Dietetics and Nutrition in 1985, her master’s degree in Public Health in 1997 from Florida International University, became certified as a Diabetes Educator in 2004. She is a member of the American, Florida, Broward & Miami Dietetic Associations, Sports and Cardiovascular Association of Nutritionists, The Vegetarian Resource Group, American Society for Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, American Academy of Diabetes Educators, and the Institute For Functional Medicine.
